The date of the the first post was in 2001.

I believe that Linux Format magazine (where the original article was from) have made some big changes to their website. If you want to read the article try searching at www.linuxformat.co.uk if that is possible.

The site has been locked down for a couple of months now, I think they are working on upgrading it.
