Exactly so. It happens when I try startx. I can use the command line but not any windowing stuff.

Same thing

I have the same error. I am now in windows so trying to remember how I got more info. Log in as root. You need to check the boot errors. I have several. Shoot How about I come back in linux later today. I will post it as even though I not knowledgeable enough to tell you how to do it yet I know where I found it. Hang in there. I will post it for both of us. It installed this way right? And it still runs. It does eventually show it's ugly face. Mine just did.

An im wheel may already be running. Two or more imwheel processes on the same X display or simultaneously using a whell fifo, will not operate as expected. INFO: imwheel started (pid-1503) /root/.imwheelrc: No such file or directory NEXT ERROR:K UniqueApplication. Trying to launch kdeinit. Try running Xconfigurator, see if that will generate a new XFree86 config file and allow you get in then. That error message sound like wheel mouse problems.
