Can anyone reccomend a good shopping cart system. I need something that is a little specialized that will allow the customer to customize their order. I work for a company that makes custom design jerseys for rugby teams. Something similar to what I am looking to do is here:

http://www.redrhinosports.com/cgi-bi...serTemplate/61

Sorry for the long URL. The only thing I want to change is the fact that you cannot see what your jersey looks like after you design it. Since there are templates for the design and you pick the colors in a "paint-by-number" fashion, I thought it would be neat to be able to pick the colors and the cart program build the jersey.

I was thinking of doing something in PHP or PERL and use a MySQL database for the system. My server is Linux 2.2, PHP 4.03, Perl 5.06(I think) and some other stuff thats not important.

But anyways, I was digging through quite a few GPL shopping carts and was getting nothing but book and DVD carts. Just thought someone here might have a suggestion. If we can get this to work and the suggestion comes from here, the prize would be something for Jeremy's server

It wouldn't be TOO hard to hack this feature into a shopping cart system. I am surprised that the site you gave doesn't. They just show a picture of a generic jersey at the end. You have all the variables needed - just use them to select the right picture to show. Two good perl carts are Minivend and Perl$hop. I would have to look for a good PHP one.

Thanks for the PERL carts. I had checked out minivend before but not the other.

That is the reason I gave the example of that site. They seem to have all the variables a script would need to spit out an image of the item.

I found kind of a cool one here http://www.w3-concept.net/ it seems to be a C backend with a PHP frontend. Do you think this is what I am looking for? I found something cool yesterday. Resource index now has a PHP section! There was some pretty cool stuff there http://php.resourceindex.com Can somebody check out some of the carts there and give me their opinion?
