Angry

I am trying to mount an nfs share on a linux server. Both the machines are running RH7. I am able ping the machine so I know that I can access it.

I am getting the following error:

mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on emperor:/tmp,
or too many mounted file systems

the line that I have in my fstab is:

emperor:/tmp /rtmp nfs defaults 0 0

on emperor i have the following line in the /etc/exports file:

/tmp gentoo

I'm sure I've just missed something stupid!

Is this post still open?

Checks:

1. Are all the correct processes running (server and client)?
2. Is there an entry in the hosts.allow / hosts.deny files?
3. Have you exported the filesystem?
4. Have you tried hashing the entry from /etc/hosts and manually mounting the filesystem?
