Unhappy Doesn't look good

Unfortunately I dont think the modem will run in Linux. I have looked at a web page (http://www.o2.net/~gromitkc/20001122b.html) and it looks like your modem is specifically designed for Windows. You need to e-mail the company which makes the modems and ask if they have/are devloped/ing a driver for use in Linux.

Unfortunately CragStar is correct. There hasn't been any progress getting that modem to work in Linux. You may want to check that website for updates occasionally, but buying a new modem (with Linux in mind) is probably a good idea.

If you are going to buy a new modem for your linux system and you must have a PCI modem that make sure you get one of the few models that is not a softmodem or winmodem. I recommend the Zoom Model 2920. It specifically says on the box it supports linux and it is one of the few PCI "hard" modems. There are nice instructions in the box for how to get linux to detect it and such, since linux doesn't usually look at the PCI bus for detecting a modem.
