I just upgraded to redhat 7.1 and by doing so, I now cannot telnet into my own system. Where specifically should I be looking to change this? Did it automatically create a firewall or what? Weird...

You can't telnet as anybody or can't telnet as root?
I can't telnet. as in, "Connection Refused."
from anywhere. none of my computers on the network, and nowhere outside of the network either. I can, however, ping. So my network is functional.
Have any idea why upgrading redhat 7.0 to 7.1 would cause that? Weird, huh?
Hehe.

Somewhere in the last couple of days there was a similar problem in the forum. It had to do with 'inetd' not being a part of RH7.1 - they used xinetd instead. Try a search to see if it got resolved.
