XMMS works when I login as root, but not went I login as a normal user.

Can anyone help?

I'm using Gnome

You need to set the permission levels on it with chmod. Or create a group for it and add whatever users you want to it.

sorry

I was not very clear in my first post... I can start xmms from a terminal screen and get into the prefs and open mp3 files but when i click the play button, nothing happens. Then when i close xmms i get a Segmentation fault and then i have to go kill the process.
