Question

When I create a bookmark of your site I get a penguin as an icon for it. I have noticed a few other sites with this and have never been able to figure out how to do it! Please if someone knows fill me in on the secret!

Thanx

Some browsers look for a file named favicon.ico when a site is bookmarked. This is the icon that you see.

No Worky

I found the icon that I would like to use and renamed it to favicon.ico and put it in the root of the server. I also put it in my /icons dir and then I deleted my site out of the bookmarks and then re added it and there was no change?

What stupid thing am I forgetting?

Oh and I did a chmod 755 to both of them!

Nevermind

It was just another MS problem where you have to go through a ritual. Delete the book mark close the brower then re open it and go to the page again then rebookmark it! Damn MS and its issues!

Please don't revive what's almost a 5 year old thread to post rubbish. And drop the "1337"-speak, it stopped being cool 10 years ago.

about desktop and icon and favicon

some web sites you can drag the favicon to desktop and you keep the icon on it (desktop), but some web site when you drag the favicon to desktop you get the standard icon for the browser, WHY?

I have to add some other script for this?

I think it's a windows/browser security configuration issue.
