I just installed mod_gzip, so please be on the lookout for any problems. mod_gzip is an apache module that compresses content before it sends it to your browser. It is then decompressed by your browser. This should decrease download time and also save bandwidth. Let me know if you notice a difference. Thanks.

As a contributor I don't see all the images and adverts that everyone else see's so whatever I tell you will be off the quotient.

The images from the ads are not loaded from LQ.org servers.
